" Not a single breath can ever part me from you, your arms; your love. "

Blood, the ruby red liquid stained the pale skin of the male beneath him, gashes leaking and cuts in the process of trying to heal themselves. It was a mesmerizing site, to say the least.

Lucifer loved blood. The texture, the color, the warmth it had to offer. But his doings weren’t to frolic and play in the vampires blood, his motive was to kill the intruder and walk away. Though something inside him screamed ‘enough’— the creature was already beaten and bloodied. Why not leave him to suffer and bleed out? Maybe then he would live to learn his lesson. The Devil made up his mind as he continued squeezing Leon’s temples, but slowly and eventually stopped. Stopped until there was little blotches of blood trickling out of both ears.

Lucifer slowly stand up straight, taking a few steps back until he was standing in front of the body on the floor. It baffled him that he didn’t do the honor of just killing the vampire with ease, especially in this state of mind. The primal mind he now possessed never thought things through, only acted without thinking. That’s what made the elder so reckless and haunting. A deep haughty laugh emitted from Lucifer as his hollow, lifeless eyes rested upon the beaten male on the floor. “Arrogance corrupts, corruption leads to recklessness and rash actions. Thus leaving you to be near death on my floor.” He derided in a deep, inhuman voice that was also laced with his normal one. One thing was certain, this is how the Devil was like in Hell. When on Earth, whatever small portions of humanity in him is awoken, thus acting like somewhat of a human with human thoughts. Though those thoughts are shrouded by the entity’s cynical mind.

Elated by his doings, though the blank expression on his face never showed it, he simply stared down at the other to see what events would happen next. If he was to retort to the Devil, Lucifer’s anger will get the best of him (once again) and he will more likely rid of the so called ‘pest’ in his presence. But if they part ways without a single word said, the Devil will be able to return to his normal state of mind and hopefully never have to come face to face with the vampire again. “Leave.” The elder demanded as his haunting voice echoed off the frail, decaying walls.

He continued to gnaw at his bottom lip as harshly as he could manage without breaking the skin beneath it, hand still pressuring the pulsating wound decorating his neck, blood still seeping through his fingers. It would take at least a week for it to heal up properly, maybe even one and a half, the blood loss had him weakened, unable make the smallest motion without causing every muscle to tremble and by that, ache. And of course the continuous pressure upon his temples didn’t make things better, the sharp pain making him squirm, unwillingly, features twisting into grimace after grimace, still not making any sounds however.

His teeth departed from his lips, chapped tires remaining parted when the pressure diminished. He was unaware of what was going on, slowly daring to draw a few breaths, scrunching his eyes shut as he began to cough again. His throat was completely dry, and the wound on his neck made things worse, throbbing with every motion, breaths hitching no matter how hard he tried, and so he decided to simply stop again. Lying motionless upon the floor, he stared at nothing, eyes open without any certain aim. He was weary, the temptation of falling asleep clawing at his mind from every direction, but if he did he surely wouldn’t make it. Leon, pull yourself together. He wiggled stiff, sticky fingers, tapping his digits against the numbed wound. It took him time to revert into his normal self, senses awakening from their temporarily slumber in time to catch the words the elder uttered, Leon merely huffing silently in response.

He didn’t bother to spare the creature a single glance as he forced himself to get up to his feet, his entire body swaying for a split second, sense of balance completely lost. At least for the moment, causing him to fall over. The dull thud echoed in his mind for several seconds after his body had hit the floor again, nails scraping against it as he tried to get p for a second time. He knew this had to be a laughable sight, ignoring it as he finally managed to stand straight without swaying from side to side. “Fine." He simply spat, a low hiss escaping his lips afterwards. He had admitted defeat and that was it, and as he turned on his heels the displeasure creeped up on him, clung to his shoulders and weighed them down. "I’m not done with you." He mumbled the second he slipped outside, into the cool air, walking a few more steps before collapsing against a nearby wall. He had strained himself to be able to leave without crawling outside, all in order to at least be able to keep some of his pride intact and it had taken his toll. His eyesight blurred again, his entire body going numb as dark dots began to play across his corneas. Good job Leon. He thought to himself the second before everything went black and he lost consciousness.
