The garden really was perfect. Despite the fact that it was already so late in the year and that normally most of the specimens in it would be wilting by then, everything was still in full bloom, full of life and vitality. Luhan wondered what it was that Leon did to keep the flowers alive for so long. In all honest, he still did not understand all of the vampire’s powers. Maybe little by little he would be shown more.
“Yes it is breathtaking…And I can definitely see that.” A thin brow rose as the shifter shook his head. He probably had no business stroking the older male’s ego like this. It was most likely a bad idea. But it wasn’t in the tiger’s nature to lie. “Hey! Why is it a secret? You know you can tell me. I won’t tell anyone else.” The corners of his mouth were tugged down in a small pout, golden eyes locked on his companion’s face. Luhan had stopped looking where he was going the second he took Leon’s hand, knowing the vampire wouldn’t let him walk into anything, even if only so he wouldn’t trample his precious plants.
“Yes, plans. You know what I’m talking about.” The Chinese man sat down on the bench, not letting go of the cold hand in his as he played with the fingers twined with his own. “Well….yeah…but that doesn’t mean you’re always going to be available for me…” He flushed slightly, knowing that he’d just assumed Leon would be home and that that was the reason why he’d been the one person he’d thought of to come with him. Because, no matter what, he could always count on the older creature.
“A jolly mood? Again? Wow, I’ve been really lucky recently then, haven’t I?” Luhan couldn’t help himself but to tease the usually moody being, knowing that he treasured every small gesture of affection and bit of contact he could glean from him. “I saw this on my way home from work,” he said as he took out the flyer from his pocket, showing it to Leon. “And I thought that it would be a great idea for us to go! Please, can we? I love fairs!”
Leon was amused by the changes of the younger behavior, how quick the turns were from time to time. How me moved on from complimenting the garden to being pouty about not being let in on the immortal’s secret. The reason to why was simple: He didn’t see it fit just yet. Revealing the abilities he had acquired simply by changing his own nature always felt a bit odd. Revealing the immortal part was one thing, the nature manipulation was another. How does one throw “I can give life to herbs” in ones face without sounding like a complete idiot? He asked himself this almost daily. He wanted to tell the other male, knowing he wouldn’t expose it to anyone else but he couldn’t bring himself to do so. There were friends he had had for years who still weren’t aware of what he was. Secretive and careful was something he’d always be (depending on the situation.)
“You’ll know in time, as I said. I know you’ll keep my secret to yourself it’s just that I don’t feel comfortable with revealing it yet, and that has nothing to do with you I promise. It’s all me." He spoke a bit breathily as always, watching the other play with his fingers, oddly enough feeling completely comfortable with it and letting it pass when, if it had been anybody else, he’d most likely would have jerked his had back and swatted it at the being’s face. But not today. Odd. When thinking about it, the entire relationship he and the shifter shared was a bit odd to him, not knowing why he had let him in on the secret of his house but not the rest, why he always made time for the male even when there were none. Maybe, just maybe it was because Luhan always managed to get Leon to feel needed. "And no don’t know what you mean by plans, not entirely. I know it means we’re going out to do something but not more than that." He retorted, lips pressing int a thin line for a split second. I always have time for you, idiot. He shook his head, free hand raised to ruffle the male’s hair. "When do I ever turn down an offer to spend time with you doll?" He rolled his eyes a little, meant as a playful gesture of course, snorting in amusement afterwards.
With a soft hum to his lips he wiggled a little where he was seated, stretching the muscles of his back lightly, eyes scrunching shut for a moment, soon opened once again, gazing at the sky, the his flowers and at last the male by his side. Again. "Correction, the world has been lucky recently." He grinned, conceited as usually, but yet calm and collected. A perfect combination as far as he was concerned. He chewed on his bottom lip when handed the flyer, reading the words rather quickly, looking up at the other with narrowed eyes for a split second. "You want me to visit a fair with you? Why me of all the people you know, I’m not exactly any fun." He scratched the back of his head lightly and then shrugged, handing the flyer back. "But if you want me to come with you I will. I have nothing better to do, and who knows it might exceed my expectations."
