Sehun had nearly reached his bed when he heard the other mentioned something about feeling unwelcome from the lack of invitation, and he stopped in his tracks, turning his head to look towards the door. His lackluster expression looked more tired than usual, dull eyes hardly focusing on the other. His body soon followed his head’s actions, turning to face the front of the apartment, and he crossed his thin arms over his chest.
“I fail to see how an invitation is needed when you rushed over here on your own accord. I didn’t invite you in the first place. But, fine. If you crave permission from someone who doesn’t particularly want visitors, I suppose I can humor you,” he said, his voice monotone. “Come in. Or don’t. Either way goes.”
He grabbed the strings attached to the hood of his sweatshirt, tugging on them roughly to keep most of his face covered. He slumped down on his mattress and leaned against the wall behind him, crossing one of his legs over the other as he closed his eyes. His normally rigid posture appeared careless.
“So, I didn’t answer a text. Big deal. What did you come for? What if I fell asleep, and that’s why I didn’t answer? You’d never have gotten in. I sleep like the dead. I’d never have heard your knock.”
Seconds seemed to pass in ultra rapid as the immortal awaited the male’s response. If he refused things would indeed turn complicated. Of course Leon would try to insist but if that would give any sort of result was yet another insecurity. Sometimes he really despised the “unwelcomed” policy. As he referred to it at least. His eyes were kept by the other, fingers fiddling with the hem of his jacket from time to time, straightening it, adjusting it and straightening it again. And so on. Being dead sure is tiresome sometimes. All these complications. He shook his head, mildly relieved when the other spoke, the crusnik’s entire posture seeming less tense.
Without another word he stepped inside, closing the door behind him, another act of common courtesy he had picked up recently. Earlier, it had seemed like a ridiculous necessity, now when he had realized the meaning of it, it had become a habit. Just like everything else he did. Including breathing. (And blinking.) While inside he stopped for another few seconds before slipping out of his shoes, green jacket remaining to cover his inked skin as he stepped further into the rather small area. Lensed orbs observed the details in his new environment, slowly traveling from side to side, up and down. Odd maybe, but he had always been a very observant being, since the day he had been awakened. As far as he could remember. Maybe it had to do with his photographical memory, maybe it was just interest. He couldn’t tell. He pondered for a while, until his eyes absentmindedly returned to the male, Leon himself blinking a few times to regain his focus, a light shake of his head while he sat down on the flooring, raven curls flickering from side to side, ending up in a mess.
“Trust me I would have found a way to get inside.” He said calmly, chilled digits trailing the sharp outline of one of the roses permanently drawn upon his pallid complexion, nail leaving an almost invisible red mark, erasing the air of flawlessness if only for a moment. “And it’ obvious that something is not right, and I want you to tell me what’s on. Right away. I didn’t here for nothing after all. I have my reasons. But you know this don’t you?” He huffed when the sentences had rolled off his tongue, stretching his shoulders back a little as he gazed at the ceiling. “I’m worried about you. As simple as that. Not used to seeing you like this.” Briefly, he gazed at the other where he sat, the manner of his posture was unfamiliar and in honest words it had him conflicted. It was one thing, when all they did was express their dislike for one another, but when the action itself was no longer appropriate the confusion of the already unstable mind of the vampire became rather heavy. Every single thing he did was habituated after all, and losing one of those things, if only for a while, could ruing the balance the balance completely and he was well aware of it. The consequences as well. “Talk to me. Now.”
