" Not a single breath can ever part me from you, your arms; your love. "

Sehun kicked his leg aggressively in the direction of his phone when he heard the telltale sign of an incoming message, the little chime driving metaphorical nails into his head. He almost felt a small drop of achievement when he heard his phone drop to the ground, the sound of the battery popping out leading him to twitch his lips upwards slightly. The minuscule feeling of elation was short-lived, however. His eyes almost immediately lost their momentary spark, his lips lowering back into the empty expression.

He groaned as he heard impatient knocks echoing in his studio apartment, and his cat—who had been hiding in his laundry basket, suddenly showed up by his head, resting on the pillow protectively. Shaking his head with a slight frown, he pulled himself into a sitting position and placed his hand on the cat’s head, tugging on one of her ears before grabbing the sweatshirt that sat at the end of his bed.

He pulled the piece of clothing over his shoulders while walking towards the door, pulling the hood up to cover his head and pulling at the sides of the hood to hide his face. He unlocked the door and opened it a few inches, letting out a soft sigh when he spotted the other. “You were serious. That’s unfortunate,” he muttered, letting his hand fall to his side as he walked away from the door, leaving it open.

He laced his own fingers together, let go and then did the same. Over and over again, small impulses to keep himself in check. Moderately. The longer it took, the more straining ti became. For a mind unfamiliar to overwhelming emotions, this was indeed something that caused him discomfort. Not really knowing how to handle the chaos brewing beneath the surface of his calm and collected demeanor. This was when he at least appreciated his abilities to keep a straight face as well as act as if nothing was going on. At least partially, the other was already aware of the fact that he was worried, a mindless admittance Leon had made, without regrets.

He heaved a light sigh, fiddling with the hem of his jacket, first now noticing the rather light forest green color it carried, shrugging lazily when the thought entered his mind. Fits, so no trouble. The familiar sound of a clicking lock dragged his thoughts back to the present, head snapping up to stare at the door, observing it as it opened. He caught a glimpse of the male behind it, brows knitting into a furrow when noticing how the edges of the hood covered his features. He sighed as well, rubbing his own temple lightly. “I’m always serious you know." He uttered in return, usually such a retort would have been followed by a snort or a conceited grin, but now there was nothing. Blank eyes and blank features. That was all.

However, as the other stepped away from the door, simply leaving it open for the immortal to step inside, Leon groaned. Rather loudly. "Would you mind inviting me before you wander off. I feel unwelcome otherwise." A bad excuse and he knew it, but what else was he supposed to say? Hopefully it would work, and if it didn’t he’d have to come up with another solution. Such a trivial matter had become important in less than a second, more so since throwing his true nature at the other still seemed inappropriate in the crusniks point of view.
